My outcome goals this winter are very simple, very systematic. I plan on not just working my way back up the ladder but surpassing where I had left off. I have fought for years not realizing that my efforts were nothing without my full health. Now that I have regained my health and strength this season will consist of surrounding myself with true support to help me reach these goals. I have a support staff to travel with me consisting of a coach/technician. We will travel to the early NorAm races and Europa Cup races to score quickly and prove once again I belong on the World Cup. After that I plan on racking up those World Cup points and qualifying for 2014 Sochi Olympic Team. Is it a big mountain to climb? Absolutely, but in the words of Michael Jordan “I can’t accept not trying.” I am someone that enjoys the entire process and I like to be heavily involved with everything racing and training. It is all about the passion for the process. As a veteran on the World Cup Circuit, having won multiple times on the FIS, NorAm and Europa Cup levels, having gone through broken bones, sprained ankles, surgeries on both knees, shoulder and brain and for the first time race tumor free I feel like I am more than ready to achieve what I first set out to do. I have put in my 10,000 hours, I have had my share of obstacles in my way and I have huge passion for skiing. With those reasons alone I know that my goals are not just tangable but very much achieveable. Every step forward I make is progress, so help me take the next step and do what is considered to be unbelieveable. Help me go from Brain Surgery to Sochi! I am making it happen.
Make sure to follow me this season. I will be posting pictures, video, articles and I will be blogging throughout the summer and the race season. Even the best experiences in life don’t mean nearly as much as when you have someone to share it with. By Donating, Sponsoring and cheering me on this season you have become a part of my journey and I want to share it with you.
